Adviser and Head, Debt Management Section

With at least 15 years’ experience of public debt management, gained in government or an international organisation, directing a multi-disciplinary team engaged in sovereign debt management policy, operations and analysis and public financial management process, you are the ideal individual to lead, direct and manage the delivery of technical assistance projects.
Optimising the use of both human and financial resources, you will ensure agreed objectives and targets are met and that maximum impact and value-for-money are achieved while strengthening debt management in member countries.
This will involve providing strategic direction and professional leadership; identifying and implementing improvements; preparing work programmes and managing performance; developing your team; building strategic partnerships with multi- and bi- lateral agencies and other stakeholders; representing the Secretariat; and leading the institutionalising of knowledge management on debt.
We are the inter-governmental organisation of the Commonwealth which comprises 53 sovereign states. This is an important role providing practical technical assistance; capacity-building activities; and debt management solutions including our CS-DRMS, and associated products, now used in over 60 countries, as well as thought leadership, innovative solutions and advocacy.
