Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identifying and designing relevant case studies to support the extractives advisory services work.
  • Maintaining a database of up-to-date policy, legal instruments covering the range of extractive sector governance.
  • Keeping abreast of global and regional trends in resource governance.
  • Performing any related tasks as assigned by the Director of ERS. 
Person Specification 
Essential 
  • Broad knowledge in Natural Resources, particularly in the areas of mining, oil and gas, and environmental sustainability.
  • Strong and analytical background on issues relating to the governance of the extractive sector.
  • Experience in and familiarity with fiscal regimes, natural resources contracting, legislation and regulatory issues.
  • Must be a team player and able to work independently and flexibly.
  • Must be capable of representing ACET and making presentations in regional and continental forums.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
Desirable
Ability to speak, read, and write French is highly desirable.
Required Qualification
Master’s degree in Economics, Natural Resource Governance, Law, or any closely related area.
Contract length and terms:  Two (2) Years
Salary:  Competitive; with additional benefits such as relocation allowance.
