Geoscientists and Petrotechnical Trainees at Schlumberger 2015

by Unknown  |  at  11:19 AM

Geoscientists and other Petrotechnical experts such as Reservoir Engineers use their complementary areas of expertise to help our customers’ estimate and increase recoverable reserves and optimize their production. With their knowledge of earth sciences and physics, mathematics and chemistry, they evaluate the likelihood of and potential for hydrocarbon deposits all over the world.

We are seeking graduates in Geoscience subjects to join us as:
Geologists
Geophysicists
Petrophysicists
Software Engineers

As a Geoscientist or Petrotechnical expert in Schlumberger you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of business disciplines, sometimes in truly remote areas. Our Geologists work across a range of geological scales to determine reservoir potential. Geophysicists apply their knowledge of earth sciences and expertise in physical measurements of the earth’s properties to enhance geological interpretations. Petrophysicists determine the volume of hydrocarbons present in a reservoir, and its’ potential to flow through the reservoir rock into the wellbore to optimize reservoir production. Software Engineers help us process, manage, and share huge volumes of data generated by our advanced technologies. Reservoir Engineers work with our customers, using data from our tools and services, and our software to create reservoir models to safely and efficiently improve recovery from reservoirs.
