Caseworker Intern

Under the overall supervision of the Migrant Assistance Division Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Migrant Assistance Division Psychosocial Caseworker, the successful candidate will assist victims of trafficking, vulnerable migrants and those migrants who are vulnerable to trafficking. The incumbent is expected to carry out his/her duties in accordance with strictest moral and ethical standards and with due respect for gender and socio-cultural differences of the victims.
In particular he/she will: ;
  1. Carry out interviews with potential vulnerable migrants, determine if eligible for assistance, and refer them to relevant partners as needed.
  2. Provide psychosocial counselling to vulnerable migrants (especially women and UAM);
  3. Plan and monitor the assistance provided to each of the beneficiaries;
  4. Monitor beneficiaries in accordance with IOM SOPs on provision of direct assistance;
  5. Prepare case management reports for each beneficiary in regular basis;
  6. Ensure appropriate data management of beneficiaries, including entering data into IOM databases on assistance and proper filing;
  7. Ensure the confidentiality of all beneficiaries;
  8. Receive internal/external referrals and set up appointments with clients;
  9. Undertake other duties as assigned.a) Excellent written and verbal communication; b) Strong strategic and creative thinking; c) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
