Field of activity
GIZ International Services will tender for the project'Support to the National Water Resources Plan (NWRP)' financed by the European Commission.
The overall objective of this project of which this contract will be a part is to support support the Government of Egypt (GoE) continuing the reform programme of the water sector, in accordance with the objectives of the National Water Resource Plan 2005-2017 (NWRP 2005-2017) as well as the Water and Wastewater Sector Development Policy (WWSDP).The related specific objectives are:Updating the existing National Water Resource Plan (2005-2017) and extending it in the framework of the 2050 vision.Developing Regional Water Resource Plans in 6 governorates, representative of the different context in the country (Nile Valley, delta, Fayoum, Sinai, coastal zones).Manage water resources in a sustainable manner.Protect public health and the environment.Maximise the economic activity benefits for all Egyptian people.
Your tasks
The team leader will be a senior professional, responsible for Overall management of the project and coordination with other donor projects and with related projects in Egypt; Setting key benchmarks and targets and providing overall technical and managerial guidance for project staff and work partners; and as a Special advisor to the NWRP Director.
