Sony Emerging Talent is our new, early career, global graduate development programme.
Sony Emerging Talent will provide you with tools and support to help further your career here at Sony Mobile.
You will be recruited into a permanent role within the Sony Mobile business with the first 18 months dedicated to supporting your own personal development. 

The Software/ Development/ Design Function
Joining our Software Development Design function, you could assume a number of technical engineering based roles.
Roles currently exist in our Lund office in Sweden within our application development and design area as well as within our companion products and creative design and planning areas.  
What can you expect during your first 18 months?

Access to a personalised business coach to support you in creating and implementing a personal development plan in line with your goals and aspirations
Exposure to our global projects, working with our colleagues in locations across the world, understanding the different cultures and ways of working
Opportunity to impress, immerse yourself in the lives of our end consumers and partners and have access to our senior leaders through the “Dare to Win challenge”.
Working on exciting CSR projects, giving back to the community and helping you develop key leadership skills along the way

What will be the Selection Process? And When?
You have already shown interest by applying via our Taleo system
Those who meet our basic criteria will be asked to complete an application form via our outsourcing provider, Gradweb
If you are successful at this stage you will complete our online verbal reasoning test via Gradweb
This will be followed by a video interview
Final stage is Assessment centre in Sweden late February.
Don’t worry; we will help you along the way.

Desired Skills and Experience

What skills/ qualifications do I need to have?
In order to be successful in our Software/Development/ Design roles, you must currently have or are studying a finance or numerical based undergraduate degree; any relevant science discipline, including computing science; any other engineering discipline, including software, mechanical and electrical engineering discipline
You must also be studying towards or hold a post graduate qualification such as a masters.
Sony Mobile’s business language is English and therefore we require all employees to be able to read, write and speak fluent English

Sony is looking for people who know are curious, curious about the latest trends, the newest technology and have a great passion for the sector.

Those who are progressed to interview stage will need to demonstrate a few key things to have a successful career at Sony:

Great at team working and able to work with other to solve problems
Able to be flexible and adapt to change quickly!
