CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for Programme Officer - DRR for our country office in Niamey, Niger.
Job Profile
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and providing management and development to CAFOD DRR, sustainability and resilience programme in line with the agreed strategy under the supervision of the programme Manager. The incumbent will be working within the West Africa and Great Lakes’ Team (WAGL)
Your role
Your role will be to provide day to day management of the DRR, sustainability and resilience programme, managing effective relationships with partners, financial management and monitoring of the programme, systems compliance and representing CAFOD in coordination with the programme Manager in order to make sure that the programme delivers its objectives.
Your profile
The ideal candidate for the post must be self motivated, must have proven thematic knowledge in key areas of DRR, climate change and resilience. S/he must also demonstrate knowledge and experience in DRR programme management and have the knowledge of DRR issues in the region and particularly in Niger. S/he must be willing to work with CAFOD local partners and able to communicate and produce project reports in French and English.
