Executive Director

by Unknown  |  at  5:22 AM

The Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund is an innovative and growing company, which provides debt and mezzanine finance to finance the construction and development of private infrastructure with a demonstrable development impact in Africa.  It is one of the five members of the Private Infrastructure Development Group, a multi-donor organisation which mobilises private sector investment to assist developing countries in providing infrastructure vital to boosting their economic growth, and combating poverty.
EAIF is now looking to appoint its first Executive Director.  Working closely with the Board, the Executive Director will provide executive leadership to support EAIF in delivering its objective.  S/he will act as the day to day interface between EAIF, the PIDG, financial partners, industry figures, and other constituencies, developing relationships and raising EAIF’s profile globally.  The Executive Director will also ensure the effective running of EAIF, working closely with the Company Secretary and managing the Fund Manager and other third party service providers.
The successful candidate will bring energy, a proactive approach, and strong ambassadorial abilities.  They will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of building relationships in a banking or similar environment, as well as an understanding of complex financing arrangements and ideally of debt capital markets.  An understanding of infrastructure project finance and of Africa is desirable.  Finally, the successful candidate will be enthused by the work of EAIF, and committed to its objective of promoting economic growth and reducing poverty in sub-Saharan Africa.
