Head of Monetary Policy Analysis
Your responsibilities in this senior management position include:
- Leading the unit and ensuring that it is technically and professionally equipped to perform its tasks in a reliable and effective manner.
- Working on the monetary policy assessments and preparing relevant documents with the help of your team.
- Writing reports and research papers on topical monetary policy issues.
- Explaining monetary policy to outside audiences and representing the SNB on external committees.
- Managing and editing research projects of relevance to Swiss monetary policy, presenting your results at conferences and publishing in academic journals.
Your profile:
- Doctorate in economics with a focus on macroeconomics.
- Several years of professional and management experience in this field and a track record of being able to create a motivating work environment.
- Broad-based knowledge of monetary policy and macroeconomics as well as experience of working with theoretical and empirical methods.
- Outstanding command (both oral and written) of one of Switzerland’s national languages and excellent English.
- Superior analytical, communication and interpersonal skills as well as a strong performance mindset and a sense of responsibility and loyalty.
