Who we're looking for

Our Business Recovery Service (BRS) is looking to grow its revenues by 10 - 15% over the next two years. Major areas of growth include driving service offerings through the funds channel, leveraging and building on international opportunities and corporate-side mandates.

As part of this growth strategy, the BRS Leadership team wishes to appoint a Director.

About the role

You will focus on supporting the Refinancing and Restructuring practice through generating and executing large and complex restructuring cases, supported by a high-calibre team.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead large and complex restructuring mandates
  • Raise the profile of the team both internally as well as externally through project delivery, networking, thought leadership and press coverage activities.
  • Contribute to driving revenues across Refinancing and Restructuring and the wider BRS practice.
Requirements
  • You should come from leading legal Restructuring and Refinancing practices who are passionate about moving into a wider advisory-led position are of interest.
  • Experience of working on big ticket restructuring mandates and delivering Independent Business Reviews.
  • Complex structuring experience.
  • Complex Stakeholder Management and negotiations experience.
  • Experience in advising both banks and corporates with bank debts.
  • Have a strong network of work-winning relationships.
  • Preferably educated to degree level.
  • ACA, ACCA, CFA or JIEB qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Confidence and presence, with credibility at the highest levels.
  • A capable team builder with experience of leading and motivating highly qualified staff.
