Role overview
This role provides support to the Director of Corporate Services in reaching targets, managing relationships, meeting deadlines and delivering ambitious strategic goals.

Key responsibilities
1. Transaction processing (50%)
- Lead and contribute to the processing of day to day accounts payable invoices, match and reconcile against correctly authorised commitments, maintain control of bank transactions generally
- Administer the payment run process, ensuring the necessary approvals including processing of international payments as required
- Administer and reconcile all credit card and expenditure transactions and payments in accordance with procedures
- Respond to queries from suppliers and members about supplier invoices, payments and related matters
- Ensure that supplier accounts are reconciled and paid in accordance with agreed terms
- Administer the Federation's banking relationships and online banking requirements.
2. Reporting (10%)
- Assist with the preparation of month end financial reports and other ad hoc reports, reconciliations and financial analysis as required.
3. Change Management /Projects (20%)
- Assist the Federation as it restructures its governance arrangements, including the ongoing review and implementation of expense and finance controls, policies and procedures
- Provide support to Director, CEO and Audit and Risk Committee with reporting and any other finance or administrative support as the CGF incorporates as a Company in the UK.
4. Administrative Support (20%)
- To provide administrative support to the Executive Management Team and coordinate/complete other ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- Degree relevant to the role preferred (however not essential dependent on experience)
- Experience working in a finance department, including experience in a high volume accounts environment, and (ideally) across both commercial and not-for-profit/charitable sectors
- Comfortable working with multiple foreign transactions
- Competent application of accounts payable and receivable, cashbook and a working knowledge of the general ledger function within a multi stakeholder environment
- Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Self-Starter essential, with strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in small teams and under own initiative
- Meticulous attention to structure, detail and accuracy
- Creative and resourceful approach to problem solving and providing solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Effective logical, decision making ability
- Ability to prioritise, manage and complete tasks well in an environment where priorities frequently change
