Finance and Administration Manager, Zambia Evaluate for Improved Impact, Zambia
Social Impact (SI) is a Washington, DC-area international development management consulting firm. SI’s mission is to improve the effectiveness of international development programs in improving people’s lives. SI services cross-cut all development sectors including democracy and governance, health and education, the environment, and economic growth. SI’s clients include US government agencies such as USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the US Department of State, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and non-profits.
Proposal Objective:
SI is preparing a proposal for an upcoming USAID-funded monitoring and evaluation activity in Zambia focused on the health sector. The purpose of the activity is to provide the USAID/Zambia Health Office, implementing partners, local partners, and the Government of Zambia stakeholders with improved data systems and utilization.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Finance and Administration (F&A) Manager to support this program. The F&A Manager will coordinate the operational components necessary to make the program/office support function work efficiently for the USAID funded activity in Zambia. This position will be full-time and based in Zambia.
**Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Zambian citizenship will be considered.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting.
  • Assist the COP with oversight and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly reports of field expenses in a timely manner, with full documentation, and according to Social Impact guidelines, and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain regular communications with Social Impact headquarters staff (program and administration, consultants) to provide timely and complete financial support.
  • Supervise administrative and financial support staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or accounting or other relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in USAID project financial management and administration of similar financial volume.
  • Expert knowledge of USAID rules and regulations highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and manage local national staff.
  • Fluency in English required.
