Project Summary:
The Evaluate for Health (E4H) project is a five-year project providing assistance to the USAID/Ghana Health portfolio, including implementing partners, local partners and Government of Ghana stakeholders. The project includes three components: Evaluations, Assessments and Studies; Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, and Research Management Capacity Building.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will provide secretarial, logistical and operations support to project teams, USAID and partner country personnel. S/he will report to the Finance and Administration Officer. This position will be full time in Accra.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and file all information and supporting documents pertaining to the implementation of the project.
  • Conduct research and obtain documents to inform technical assistance, briefing and reports.
  • Coordinate logistics for travel, study tours, training and other events.
  • Maintain supplies and ensure that sufficient office supplies are available at all times.
  • Support the Finance and Administrative Officer in the timely submission of monthly staff timesheets and track annual, sick and special leave.
  • Place and screen telephone calls and follow up with vendors and providers.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Greet and welcome visitors.
  • Perform other administrative, clerical, and financial tasks as required by the Administrative and Financial Manager and the Program Director.
Qualifications:
  • College degree in Business Administration or similar discipline.
  • Experience working as administrative assistant, secretary or technical support for a public, NGO or international organization with at least two years of experience supporting senior staff.
  • Prior experience working with USAID-funded health projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
