Position:	International ST / LT Experts in the Water and Sanitation Sector
Background:	ICON-INSTITUT Engineering GmbH currently runs a number of projects in the water and sanitation sector mainly and has applied for numerous further projects all of which are financed in the frame of international Development Cooperation schemes. Target projects of this job offer aim at improving the performances of utilities and are in different stages (EOI, proposal preparation, pending proposals etc.). In this connection we are constantly looking for experts with experiences particularly but not exclusively in utility and organization development, financial management incl. MIS and tariff studies, billing and collection, O&M, sludge management, loss reduction, public awareness, training etc.
Job Description:	Scope and responsibilities for individual assignments vary depending on the specific project, focus and task. They may include project management duties (for team leader positions) but usually entail the responsibility for the specific task the expert is assigned for. You should therefore accept responsibility for your specific technical function and should support our clients in improving their respective performance in the subject field. Tasks include cooperation and mutual support within the – usually multinational - Project Team including reporting according to contractual requirements.
Candidate's profile:	·         University degree in the respective field (e.g. engineering, MBA, economics, etc.) or equivalent ·         Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in working with consultants, utilities, engineering companies, financial institutions in the water sector ·         Record of proven experience in working in internationally financed projects, technical project experience in the respective field, familiarity with rules and guidelines of international financing institutions ·         Profound project management expertise would be an asset ·         Proven ability to work in changing cultural environments, intercultural teams ·         Fluency in English is required; German, French and Spanish would be an asset ·         Excellent negotiation, networking, communication, reporting and IT skills.
