Roving Nutrition Program Manager - South Sudan

providing Nutrition & Health Technical support to our teams in South Sudan. Playing a key role in the Nutrition team, you will support the team in building capacity, enhancing quality of our programs and in effective program monitoring, evaluation & learning.

Key activities in your role will include:

  • Through regular field visits, on-site and off-site technical support, enable Program Managers in effective implementation of projects and achievement of project goals.
  • Ensure quality of programs and support the identification and resolution of critical gaps.
  • Capacity Building and training of Nutrition Team. Based on proper needs assessment, together with the Nutrition Coordinator and Program Managers, develop a robust capacity building and training plan.
  • Contribute to Program Information analysis, internal & Exernal communication as welll as Grants management & Reporting.

You’re a seasoned Nutrition Specialist
  • You have completed a Masters’ degree in Public Health, Nutrition or a related technical field.
  • You have previously worked in several humanitarian emergencies which has given you at least 2 years’ of cumulative professional experience in resource-poor settings.
You’re a strong communicator under stress
  • You have experience working with colleagues who do not speak your language. You are used to explaining your work in non-technical terms.
  • You are comfortable explaining policies & procedures to a team.
  • You stay calm & like talking to colleagues to find solutions to their problems.
  • You have contributed to team reports & are able to succinctly summarize & analyze current field activities.
Your work style builds trust within your team
  • You are highly organized & pay attention to small details. You are calm under pressure, & able to easily adapt to changing circumstances.
  • You identify training needs and work with the HR dept to develop and implement relevant trainings.
