Senior Programme Officer – Tunisia

Based: Tunis, Tunisia
We are looking for Senior Programme Officer to join our Tunisia team. You will have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent organisational skills, together with knowledge of peacebuilding challenges in Tunisia. The post requires frequent communication and liaison with partners and external stakeholders, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.
The post holder will support the management of the implementation of the project “Enhancing inclusive and democratic security governance of Tunisia’s borders with Algeria and Libya.” that Alert is leading on, under the supervision of the Programme Manager, who holds overall management responsibility for this project. This project aims to support holistic, long-term reform of the Tunisian security system and security governance of the borders, which is directly informed by and reflects the needs and concerns of communities. The project aims to support reform that comes from the ground up and is based on an inclusive, participatory, people-centred and comprehensive understanding of local public security concerns.
