GE Treasury team is responsible for global funding, cash and foreign exchange management, and other Treasury services for all of GE's worldwide operations.
• Support the business and Treasury needs for research, indicative pricing and hedging strategies for foreign exchange risk – work with local banks to source USD at competitive rates
• Identify and distribute relevant third party research material and exchange control rulings to internal stakeholders
• Keep abreast of changes, amendments and updates to local banking laws, Exchange Control and Central Bank rulings to ensure that GE business operates smoothly and is compliant
• Develop and build relationships with banks and Central banks to ensure Central Bank approvals for all foreign payments (vendors , inter-company, loans, etc.) are obtained timeously and efficiently with no delays
• Work with Relationship Banks and Central Bank representative to ensure all the central bank applications and supporting documentation is submitted in the required and correct formats
• Participate in on-going Treasury projects and help achieve the defined goals and objectives of those initiatives
• Adhere to the GE cash management and Foreign Exchange policy
• Work with Tax and Finance to gather relevant supporting documentation to be submitted to Exchange Control and foreign payments remitted successfully
• Assist Treasury teams with Cash flow forecasting for Regional Review
• Managing the Funding of bank accounts to ensure sufficient liquidity
• Prepare submissions for Risk approval on bank selection, limit approvals and deposits
• Manage daily Payment authorisations, bank eft systems and their security
• Ensure Webcash reporting is completed for all banks
• Other ad hoc support
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business and at least 5 years of experience in Financial services, Exchange Control, banking or corporate Treasury
• Broad network of financial institution contacts
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to reference verification and back ground checks
• Angola position - located in Luanda
• Strong quantitative/analytical skills
• Oil & Gas Angola experience
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Build and maintain Rapport with external banking community
• Ability to perform data analysis, develop logical conclusions and prepare conclusions
• Ability to convey analytical needs and/or results to partners and stakeholders with limited subject matter expertise
• Ability to work well with people and leverage off their knowledge and expertise across multiple functions within the organization
