The Campbell Collaboration seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for an initial term of up to five years, beginning on or about 1 January 2016, in any location.
The Campbell Collaboration (C2) is an international network devoted to producing a world library of systematic reviews of research to inform policy and practice and improve human well-being worldwide. C2 is governed by an international Steering Group (SG), comprised of elected representatives of its Coordinating Groups (CGs) in Education, Crime and Justice, International Development, Social Welfare, Methods, and Knowledge Translation and Implementation.
We seek to dramatically increase the production, use, and global impact of C2 systematic reviews. With these goals in mind, we are planning significant changes in the C2 organization, particularly in its leadership structure.
The Norwegian Government has supported C2 infrastructure in years past, and will continue to do so. In the future, the Oslo C2 office will be part of a larger, international Secretariat with offices in other parts of the world and a new funding structure.
The CEO is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the C2 organization according to the overall mission, strategic direction, and decisions made by the C2 Steering Group (SG). The CEO is appointed by the SG and reports directly to the Co-Chairs of the SG.
The CEO is expected to raise funds to cover his/her own salary and generate additional support for C2. Funding for two core staff positions is currently provided by Norwegian governmental grants, administered by the Norwegian Knowledge Center for the Health Services. The CEO position could be hosted by the Knowledge Center (if the CEO resides in Norway) or by another organization.
