MONITORING AND EVALUATION COORDINATOR

Organization: The Women's Bakery

Job Function: Database Management / Data Analysis / Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation / Quality Improvement
Issue Area: Economic Development, Education / Health Education, Food Security / Nutrition, Women and Girls

About

The Women’s Bakery (TWB) is a business model committed to creating economic opportunities for women by training them to build, operate, manage, and sustain their own bakeries which sell affordable, locally sourced, highly nutritious breads. These bakeries become an opportunity-generating mechanism for an entire community, meeting local demand with local supply. These independent bakery businesses are supported through TWB’s ongoing training and long-term development. Viewing poverty as the antithesis of choice, TWB creates choice through imparting irrevocable business and life skills to women globally. Rather than build bakeries as an act of charity, TWB is focused on utilizing business, and comprehensive business training, as a tool for social change. The TWB model offers choice—choice for women to take on a business and make it work in their community. That's conscious capitalism.
