CPA Australia is one of the world’s largest accounting bodies with a global membership exceeding 160,000 finance, accounting and business professionals working in 118 countries. With over 530 employees, we deliver core services to members across professional accreditation, continuing education, training, technical support and advocacy in the interests of the profession and the community.
Services are provided from our offices across Australia (including Melbourne headquarters), and from our international offices in Singapore, Greater China, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. We work with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industry, academia and the general public.
THE ROLE
  • Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for leading CPA Australia, including shaping and delivering the strategy
  • Delivering valued member engagement through all CPA Australia’s programs and services, which are vested in a comprehensive understanding of member needs and effective connections across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Through a period of professional change and organisational transformation, addressing the challenges facing the accounting profession and refining strategies for the future
  • Building a positive culture within CPA Australia, aligned with a strong, values driven membership ethos
THE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated leadership at CEO level gained in large, complex organisations of a similar size and global footprint   
  • Proven visionary and transformational leader who has successfully led the execution of large, strategic change initiatives in complex environments
  • Understands the values and drivers of a member-based environment, possessing outstanding influencing, relationship building and communication skills
  • Strong intellect and integrity, leading by example and exemplifying outstanding collaboration and teamwork. CPA Australia membership highly desirable
