Item Data Management Engineer
Sandvik Mining develops and produces products for our customers’ drilling, rock reinforcement, hauling, loading, crushing and mechanical cutting, as well as mine automation needs, worldwide.
Main Responsibility
- Creation of new and maintenance of existing item information of common global components in global PLM system according to common naming, description and classification guidelines
- Providing item data creation and maintenance service for PA engineering in common global component classes
- Creation of right-level-of-detail CAD models for new items and part families according to common modeling guidelines for global CAD systems
- Mastering global item classification of all the components in common item categories
- Supporting Global Item Administration (GIA) initiative roll-out in the development and validation of the content to global component libraries
- Work closely with other item data management engineers and item category owners in order to ensure the best possible quality of item management process and available item information

- Common knowledge of engineering components/items, operating principles and their respective properties
- System knowledge of CAD (NX), PLM (Teamcenter) and other related (e.g. item management service) systems
