The Project Development t Leader - Francophone sub-Saharan Africa will lead Project development for the different businesses in Francophone sub-Sahara Africa. You will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. | |
In this role, you will: • Lead the development and closure of GE D&I projects in Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa • Lead the assessment of project viability/ feasibility of implementation and bankability • Prepare development budgets, timelines and structures • Connect and develop relationships with key developers in client market • Monitor portfolio and development spend on assigned projects | |
• Master's Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline from an accredited university or college • Minimum 10 years relevant professional experience • Demonstrated success supporting medium – large infrastructure projects • Demonstrated project Development and financial skills in cost/budgeting • Experience with evaluating, negotiating and closing contracts • Understanding of Development Asset agreements • Working knowledge of project development requirements such as fuel supply, grid interconnections, permitting requirements, etc. • Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated executive presentation skills | |
• Project Development Professional (PMP) qualifications • MBA qualification or Master’s Degree equivalent • Fluent in French and English • Understanding of various financing products and structures, including loans, leases, partnerships and equity investments • Engineering background or experience a plus • High energy level - self-starter • Strong skills in customer relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills |
