The International Post Corporation is a co-operative Association, incorporated under Dutch and Belgian law (a holding company in the Netherlands, and operating company in Belgium) of 24 national postal services from Europe, North America and the Pacific Region.
The main activity of the Association is to study, develop, promote and provide products, services, standards and advice for the common use and benefit of its members in the normal course of their business. Members must be the providers of postal services, or their subsidiaries engaged in the provision of international mail.
In the area of regulatory Services IPC offers a broad range of services and products. IPC provides think tank, intelligence, research and news services. The services provided by IPC help the members to acquire the necessary overview over regulatory developments around the world, steer relevant research and benchmarking activities and meet with their peers to discuss and exchange news and ideas. Moreover, these activities lead to a knowledge advance and to cost savings due to shared research initiatives that are cost intensive if acquired and paid individually by each member.
The trainee will support the Regulatory Services Manager in the area of Regulatory Services in IPC.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Manager in the daily work
- Assist and support member Posts in their participation in the Regulatory Services
- Support the work of the Manager for the web development of IPC Regulatory Services
- Responsible for the updating of members’ country reports and documents of regulatory relevance on the IPC Regulatory Portal
- Support the preparation of the Regulatory Flashes (weekly and monthly)
- Support the preparation of the publication of the IPC Regulatory Database
- Undertake research of regulatory topics
- Support the work of the Manager in planning and organizing meetings on regulation. Based on the request of the Manager, take minutes of these meetings.
Person Description
- Successful experience in assistant position
- Experience in multi-cultural environment is an advantage
- University degree in an economic field or law is an advantage
- Authorized to work in Belgium without a work permit
