We have a vacancy for a media relations trainee. The successful applicant will support the media relations team, working across a range of sectors on a variety of activities including drafting press materials, interacting with journalists, media monitoring, and media research (eg mapping, compiling databases).
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an entry-level journalist with a passion for media and communications as well as excellent spoken and written English. It is vital to be able to deliver quality results under deadline in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and to work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A university degree in communication, journalism, public relations, EU affairs, or international relations;
- A valid EU work skills.
Competences
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent command of English; Fluency in Spanish and/or German would be an asset;
- Strong writing skills;
- Excellent online skills and demonstrable experience in managing a variety of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube);
- Familiarity with the media landscape;
- Good organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Attention to detail;
- Customer service orientation;
- Sense of initiative and problem-solving mindset;

The position is for a full-time traineeship. The trainee will be offered a full-time six-month “Contrat d’immersion professionnelle” contract with Cambre with a salary of EUR 1000/month, social security benefits and holidays.
