Manager, Treasury Operations and Settlements Division

Who we are
Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is a Multilateral Development Bank established in 1973 with the purpose of fostering economic development and social progress of its member countries and Muslim communities in non-member countries in accordance with the principles of Islamic Finance. Role Purpose
  • To provide the leadership, direction and coordination of activities for the Treasury Operations and Settlements Division.  Take the day-to-day operational decisions, ensuring that the Division achieves its results and that it fully contributes to the delivery of the Treasury Department’s goals.
  • To manage the IDB’s liquidity portfolios, cash flows, and banking relationships and to ensure quality processing of all Treasury’s transactions and settlements with counterparties.
Key accountabilities and activities:
  • Participate in the development of the Treasury Department strategy, budget and business planning processes
  • Create and implement actionable Treasury Operations & Settlements Division short to medium term operational plans and budgets with operational KPIs linked to the Treasury Department strategy
  • Coordinate the Division’s activities so that it effectively utilises its resources, manages its priorities, and is able to be both responsive and proactive
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate the Division’s on-going performance and quality of its outputs and services, identifying and initiating actions for improvement and innovation
Academic and Relevant Experience Requirements:
This role reports to the Director of Treasury Department and require a minimum of 15 years of proven leadership and relevant experience; an advanced degree in a related field of study or a relevant bachelor degree with considerable experience in similar role in public/private/multilateral sectors is also required. Fluency in English is required.
