Development Operations Manager

SOAS, University of London is the only Higher Education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. We uniquely combine language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus, and have the largest concentration in Europe of academic staff concerned with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.  Every year SOAS raises millions of pounds in philanthropic income and engage with alumni and key stakeholders around the world.
The Development, Alumni and External Engagement Directorate is at the heart of the School.  The role of Development Operations Manager is crucial to the successful running of the Directorate.  The post holder will be responsible for the School’s Raiser’s Edge database of alumni and contacts. The post holder will also provide key analysis and financial reports, is responsible for a due diligence procedure and for the Directorate’s budget management.  The Development Operations Manager is responsible for a team of three members of staff who are responsible for reporting, prospect research and donor stewardship.
We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual who has experience of producing reports and analysis and has sophisticated influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across SOAS and externally.
