Founded in 1966, our mission is to practise engaged scholarship, combining teaching and research excellence with the practical and entrepreneurial approach pioneered by our namesake, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Brunel University London Business School is a major part of the University. In order to celebrate the University’s 50th Anniversary, the Business School is embarking on a recruitment drive. The School won the Times Higher Education (THE) Best Business School of the Year award in 2013 and has experienced significant progress in its research activity placing it number 12 among UK Business Schools in terms of ‘research power’ (Association of Business Schools ranking, 2015) and in the top 20 in terms of ‘research intensity’ (THE ranking, 2015). It is on track to becoming a leading European Business School, as demonstrated by a clear commitment towards achieving ‘triple accreditation’, with a vibrant research culture within five internationally recognised research groups and a range of employability-focussed teaching programmes – all based within a new state-of-the-art teaching and research facility. The School is home to a diverse staff and student population engaging in exciting and innovative undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research programmes.
As part of the Business School’s plan to enhance research capabilities and the student experience, it is seeking enthusiastic academics with excellent research profiles that will enhance the reputation of the School through research, world class academic publications and effective student engagement in learning.
Successful candidates should hold a relevant doctorate and a research profile commensurate with the position and length of their career. The successful candidates should have experience of teaching and research in one or more key areas relevant to the post applied for at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
