by Unknown  |  at  10:28 AM

Overview of requirements

Doctoral degree in international politics/relations, security studies, conflict, peacebuilding or related subject; or equivalent experience in the field.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a team.
Visibility and respect in the field of human security in Africa.
The contract will be for one year and may be renewed subject to the journal’s requirements and satisfactory performance.

Applicants must provide a cover letter and detailed CV, including at least three contactable referees. The covering letter should include: a) an explanation of how the applicant will complement and develop the vision and direction of the journal; b) a summary of the applicant’s editorial experience or experience with academic journals; c) institutional support; and d) evidence of research and scholarship in the field of human security in Africa. Email your application to Rekha Valabh at pretoriajobs@issafrica.org.

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
