The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is an international organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. Established in 2012, at the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, GGGI is accelerating the transition toward a new model of economic growth – green growth – founded on principles of social inclusivity and environmental sustainability.
GGGI is an international organization founded to support and promote green growth by targeting key aspects of economic performance such as poverty reduction, job creation, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. The Institute works with partners in the public and private sectors in developing and emerging countries to put green growth at the heart of economic planning. The organization is growing and currently has 26 Member countries with operations in 24 countries. GGGI’s headquarters is based in the dynamic city of Seoul, Republic of Korea.
