Emergency IT Officer

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
  1. Travel internationally to perform field site assessments around Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) areas including facilities management around securing logistical support for power, backup generator, UPS, etc.
  2. . Includes sourcing, installing, and configuring LAN/WAN/Satellite communications to allow for connectivity and operations support for data collection and reporting.
  3. . Support and implement end devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones, touch screen monitors, network scanners, etc.) to support clinical and programmatic operations within the treatment units.
  4. . Help address, recommend, and implement RFID for geo-zoning and patient identification, barcode labeling, and thermal temperature technologies.
  5. . Ensure infection control protective hardware is in place to ensure proper infection control protocols are being followed for end devices.
  6. . Help train staff on the use of end devices and software platforms for data collection/reporting.
Skills & Requirements:
  1. Field deployment experience in third world country setting
  2. . Network communications expertise in LAN/WAN/vSAT/BGAN/WiFi
  3. End device management and implementation experience
  4. . Understand and follow Information Security best practices 5. Ability to travel within short notice
Other Relevant Information (if applicable):
  1. Any foreign languages
  2. Military/government background preferred
  3. . Must be able to document
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills
