Description
The overall goal of the National Solid Waste Management Programme (NSWMP) is that the national olid waste management system contributes significantly to the sustainable protection of the environment and climate, the conservation of resources and the reduction of healt-realted hazards for the population in Egypt. The NSWMP includes work at the national, regional and local levels, including financial and technical cooperaiton support to initially four Egyptian Governorates: Qena and Assiut in Upper Egypt, Kafr El Sheikh and Gharbia in the Delta. Through developing a new national SWM policy & legal framework, dedicated institutions and enhanced professional capacity, and new investments in infrastructure and services, the NSWMP will also set SWM as a key entry point for economic development, employment, integration of the informal sector and social participation in the process of planning and implementing public infrastructure and services. One of these is the opportunigy to create business and employment opportunities through ISWM, ie high resource efficient / high employment generating integrated SWM systems.
Qualifications Required Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted.
- Min. 5 years working experience in financial management and accounting
- Working experience within international eg KfW/WB/EU financial management projects, thus familiar with requirements and, best, hands of experience
- Fluent in Arabic and English (Writing and Speaking)

Professional Experience Required
- Profound professional know-how of:
financial management, control and auditing under Egyptian law,
- Experience in financing environmental projects, documentation and record keeping
- Tasks: assisting in the verification and processing of documentation related to financial management, including checking of claims, processing of invoices, monitoring disbursements
