AECOM International Development is seeking multiple long- and short-term water management experts for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Ethiopia to improve water sector management and build technical capacity in developing countries. Water management experts interested in applying should demonstrate experience in the following technical areas:
- Water resource engineering & management
- Water Supply Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
- Water utility performance monitoring, benchmarking, and regulation
- Water and wastewater system operation and maintenance
- Capacity building and certification
- Coastal and watershed management
- Financial/asset management
- Hydropower and water economics
- Irrigation and drainage operation and maintenance
- Strategic water and business planning
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in water management, especially experience working on international development projects in the water sector
- Master’s degree or better in engineering, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience
- Experience working in Ethiopia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent English required
- Experience managing projects and teams, notably as Chief of Party
- Work on international donor-funded projects strongly preferred, specifically with USAID
