ACF-UK is looking for a consultant for a period of approximately 2-2 ½ months to undertake a study on the optimal funding models that enable sustainable funding for the scale-up of Community Base Management Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) on behalf of Generation Nutrition.
The study will propose optimal way forward to increase funding of CMAM high-burden countries, based on the analysis of the current state-of-play in relation to donor and domestic funding. The study will also comment emerging innovative (and sustainable) approaches on financing that, if implemented, would give more children in these countries access to treatment. The research, including the trips to the case-study countries, will take place early summer 2015 depending on the availability of consultants and logistics in case study countries. The outputs of the study will be a policy report to deliver high-quality evidence to make the case to donors, governments, UN agencies and implementing partners for options that enable sustainably-financing of CMAM at scale and summarise current thinking on cost reduction in service delivery, financing and a better combining with preventive strategies.
The start date of the evaluation is intended for end of June 2015 and should run through to August 2015.
All reasonable expenses will be covered by ACF.
