The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of production/development or any section targets in the mining field according to Company standards, policies and procedures. The incumbent will be required to work shifts.

Miner – Expansion Projects
The successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of production/development or any section targets in the mining field according to Company standards, policies and procedures. The incumbent will be required to work shifts.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Perform mining activities required in order to achieve planned targets and meet quality standards
• Ensure effective utilisation of resources (labour and material)
• Provide leadership and management of crew members
• Ensure crew adheres to Security and SHE policies and procedures
• Report all incidents and accidents
• Work overtime and be on standby and available for call-outs when required
• Ensure compliance and adherence to Mine standards and procedures.
Minimum requirements:
• Grade 12
• Valid Permanent Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
• Valid driver’s licence
• 2 years’ underground experience
• Trackless Mechanised Mining experience (essential)
• Development experience (essential)
• Experienced in and passed out on various trackless machines would be an advantage
• Computer literacy in MS Office suite would be an added advantage
• Completion of a Supervisory Development Programme would also be an advantage.
Other skills/competencies:
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience as a Miner in a production/development environment
• Independent, proactive thinker with the ability to do own job planning and make decisions
• Supervisory/people management skills.
