About the role
The Regional Product Manager is a regional post within the MSI Partnership. The Manager will work to ensure a sustainable product portfolio is developed across MSI francophone West African countries, focussing on key MSI deliverables including product sustainability, increasing access to life saving medicines, and ensuring adherence to MSI minimal quality standards. This is an initial one – two year short term contract with possibility of extension. The post is supported with a regional benefits package. About you
The Regional Product Manager must be fluent in French (writing and spoken). You will ideally have a background in the NGO sector, or Pharmaceuticals (retail).
You will possess proven experience in sales and marketing in retail pharmaceutical markets – this can be as a social marketer in a social business or from a private sector sales background. You will have in the field knowledge of working in Francophone West Africa, with a background in the pharmaceutical industry or in related product marketing. This person will have at least five years’ experience working at a senior management level with budget/cost centre accountability, ideally with some logistics experience.
We see you as experienced in developing countries, preferably in a marketing or sales role, you’ll have experience in the design and roll out of marketing strategies to different audiences, as well as experience in interpreting and using qualitative and quantitative research results for strategy development.
Please note that travel will be involved in this position.
