In order to develop the programme within Senegal and the West African region, we are recruiting for a new position of Advocacy Officer to coordinate and further develop our advocacy in Senegal and in the wider West Africa region. This is an exciting role aimed at a professional with a minimum of 2 years proven experience in an advocacy focused role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with experience in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies in the animal welfare or human development sectors, and who has the skills required to successfully help us implement our advocacy agenda. We are also looking for an advocate with experience in providing advocacy support to partners including through the provision of advocacy training.
The role of Advocacy Officer requires excellent analytical and research methods skills, as it is focused on creating and using evidence with and for policy makers and implementers. Brooke is not a campaigning organisation and whilst our Advocacy Officer will support Brooke colleagues whose work is focused on community engagement and communications to the public, this is not the focus of the Advocacy Officer role.
