Based: London
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Africa team, Alert’s largest programme.
You will be responsible for providing strategic input to the management of the Africa Programme (AP) - budget of £8 million and working in 10 countries - and will ensure the robustness of the AP’s financial and operational management systems, in order to guarantee the integrity of the programme and enable the programme to keep pace with new demands.
With a relevant degree and specific financial management qualifications, you will have experience of working in the field with an INGO and will be able to operate comfortably both in English and in French. You will also have experience in the areas of operations and human resources management and will have successfully developed, negotiated and manged commercial bids and contracts.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to identify practical solutions to make programmatic developments feasible and sustainable, you will be a team player able to build the kind of relationships, both internally and externally, that will gain cooperation and constructively ensure compliance.
