Leonard Cheshire Disability is currently recruiting for a Policy Officer to join its International team based in London.
It is an exciting time for Leonard Cheshire Disability. The international community is waking up to the fact that the goals of ending poverty and sustainable development cannot be achieved without including persons with disability. LCD international implements inclusive development projects, influences globally for the rights of persons with disabilities and carries out research through the Disability and Inclusive Development Centre at the University College London. The Head Office is in London, with 4 regional offices across Africa and Asia.
You will contribute to the important work that we do by supporting LCD International team with the global influencing work, through engagement in social and public policy as it relates to disabled people, as well as promoting Leonard Cheshire Disability’s contribution and profile internationally.
To be successful in this role you will have experience in policy and influencing work in an international environment; excellent, high-level writing and communication skills adaptable for different audiences, and some experience in event organising.
