Project Officer in the Executive Office

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationships: The consultant will work directly with the Senior Adviser to the Secretary General and the Executive Office to support the work of the Office in the areas of peace, counter-terrorism and other related fields.
Deliverables: The consultant will assist the Executive Office with the following deliverables:
 Conduct research, attend meetings and draft reports for IPU activities in the areas of peace, security, national reconciliation and dialogue;
 Make preparations for implementation of the Parliamentary Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
 Draft the agenda, convocation, background documents and reports of the Committee on Middle East Questions, including its projects of peace;
 Attend meetings and drafting meeting reports and notes for the file;
 Draft a weekly news bulletin for the Secretary General on developments in certain Arab countries;
 Liaise with external partners;
 Any other deliverables as may be deemed necessary.
Work implies frequent interactions with following:
 The Executive Office
 Specialized IPU bodies and committees
