SOS Children’s Villages Somalia is an independent non-governmental social development organization. With the SOS Children’s Village concept, the organization pioneered a family approach to the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children.
SOS Children’s Villages Somalia promotes long term family based child care for orphaned and destitute children and shares in the social development of communities.
We seek to recruit an Accountant for SOS Children’s Village Mogadishu. S/he should be able to fulfill the financial requirements of SOS facilities and in particular, s/he ensures that all SOS financial procedures and requirements are implemented and adhered to according to SOS financial standards.
Duty post: Baidoa, Somalia
Key duties and responsibilities:

- Performs detailed accounting tasks of the project
- Ensures that Financial Resources are used effectively
- Ensures the sound financial management of the programs in Somalia
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget with support from facility heads
- Manages the cash flow by preparing an annual cash-flow projection
- Manages the Organization’s payments
- Maintain ledgers on official SOS Accounting software
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements
- Preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance of all expenses to the program’s budget
- Performs general administrative tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Business Administration: majoring in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Management

Work Experience
At least 1 years of progressively experience is required.
Knowledge of USAID regulations desired
