Programme Manager-Neglected Tropical Diseases

We are recruiting for a Programme Manager to lead the planning and implementation of the project. The post will be based in Malaria Consortium’s Juba office, with significant national travel to project sites in Central Equatoria State. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building on their previous project management experience while contributing to a significant effort to reduce the transmission of NTDs in South Sudan.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Master’s degree in international health or related discipline
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in project planning and implementation in low resource settings
  • Ability to effectively coordinate, delegate to and support teams where there is no direct line management responsibility
  • Experience and solid understanding of operations management, specifically related to drug procurement and supply chain management for mass drug administration
  • Excellent financial management skills for budget development and management
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to appropriately target diverse audiences
  • Proven track record in effectively establishing and managing productive partnerships with donors
  • Familiar with principles of monitoring and evaluation of public health projects along with strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of Value for Money principles and application of these principles for programme design and implementation
  • Experience in engaging with Ministry of Health representatives at all levels of the health system and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders from the community to national level
