In the frame of a proposal for a Technical Assistance in the field of water and sanitation in Tanzania, we are seeking for a:
TEAM LEADER (M/F)
MISSION
- Execution of the Lender’s and Tanzanian Environmental and Social safeguards;
- Sustainable transfer of know-how on project management concepts, skills, tools and activities Transparency and effectiveness of policy orientation of the budget assured;
- Scoping of operational, financial and institutional assistance.
PROFILE
Qualifications and skills
- Internationally recognised graduate degree in public management, water/ environmental management, economics or equivalent;
- Fluent command of both written and spoken English;
General Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10-years of professional experience in water/ environmental management;
- Minimum of 5-years of project management experience and demonstrated management skills;
- Knowledge of EU/ EIB project management methodology gained through the participation as a team leader in at least 2 EU funded projects;
- Management of a minimum of 2 water management projects in a developing country environment;
- Demonstrable experience in management of people and teams.
Specific Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10-years of experience in providing project management advice and services in water/ environment related projects;
- Minimum of 5 of the above years in a developing country environment (Sub-Saharan Africa experience would be an advantage);
- Proven and documented experience in applying and advising on project management concepts, skills, tools and activities aimed at increasing transparency and effectiveness of policy orientation of budgets;
- Experience in advising highest level of government officials and managers on project management. Issues.
