Proposal Summary:
This anticipated five-year USAID-funded Mali Justice Sector and Anti-Corruption Project will aim to enhance efficiency in the justice sector and increase access to justice, including support to the Government of Mali to reduce corruption along the Sikasso trade corridor.

Position Summary:
MSI seeks an experienced Anti-Corruption specialist who will manage and support implementation of anticorruption-related project activities, including technical assistance on business regulation reform and anticorruption policy recommendations to national level government officials, legal assistance along trade routes, and engagement with civil society organizations for public information and advocacy campaigns on anticorruption initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation and management of anti-corruption project activities and deliverables, in consultation with the Chief of Party.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to governmental agencies on business regulation reforms and anti-corruption policies.
  • Develop and implement public education, advocacy and outreach activities, in cooperation with local civil society organizations.
  • Coordinate with other governmental agencies in implementing reforms and procedures that reduce corruption, particularly along the Sikasso-Koury and Sikasso-Heremakono trade corridor.
  • Ensure effective coordination with other project justice sector and access to justice staff.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as law, business administration, economics, international development, or international relations. J.D., Ph.D., or LL.M is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in anti-corruption and/or access to justice programming, preferably in Mali, West Africa or other comparable development countries.
  • Knowledge of cross-border trade and its relationship to the U.S. Government Feed the Future goals
  • Demonstrated experience in anti-corruption and good governance areas working with governmental anti-corruption and justice sector agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with civil society organizations on advocacy and awareness raising initiatives, preferably related to anti-corruption or access to justice issues.
  • Prior experience on a USAID or other international donor-funded anti-corruption, government accountability or access to justice project preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken French (minimum level 3) and English required.
