Global Campaigns Manager (maternity cover)
WaterAid is looking for an exceptional campaigner to work with our partners and staff to tackle the global water and sanitation crisis. In this pivotal role, you'll be leading advocacy to ensure that the water and sanitation Sustainable Development Goal is a high priority for governments, and helping to deliver our new global advocacy priority on child health. You'll also be managing a high performing team of advocates working to influence the UK, EU and UN. Whether you’re lobbying a minister, organising an event at the UN, or working with one of our inspirational partners, your campaigns will have the ambition to tackle a crisis that kills 500,000 children every year. Not your average job, then. But you’re hardly run-of-the-mill yourself.
With a track record of leading successful international campaigns and managing a team, you will have an in-depth understanding of the international political landscape. You’ll be a supreme tactician, able to make the choices and run with campaigns that have the greatest impact. You’ll have a flair for ideas - an inspirational leader with the proven ability to make things happen.
Our ambition is massive: we want you to help us to reach everyone, everywhere with safe water, sanitation and hygiene. We need you to help us deliver it. If you bring your expertise, your passion and professionalism, we’ll give you a lot back.
Working with us, you will be entitled to a wide range of employee benefits (http://www.wateraid.org/uk/get-involved/jobs-and-volunteering/benefits-of-working-for-us), such as an exceptional pension fund, medical cash plans, an employee assistance programme, generous annual leave and Save As You Learn schemes, as well as fitness and lifestyle programmes.
Please note: in order to apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.
This vacancy will end one minute before midnight on the closing date specified. No recruitment agencies please.
