Advans SA is a Luxembourg-based venture capital investment company that was created in 2005. Advans SA's mission is to build a network of financial institutions in developing and emerging countries offering loans, deposits, and other standard financial services to MSMEs that have limited or no access to formal banking services.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Advans SA is seeking a MIS Support Officer. S/he will act as an application support with a high focus on the core banking system (Orbit/Neptune).
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support (2nd level) and troubleshoot assistance for the core banking system and various applications surrounding it;
- Answer incoming customer support calls from the organization and resolving customer issues related to CBS Orbit and other applications;
- Ensure that issues coming from the organization's supported are properly logged, categorized, and documented in the incident management tool;
- Document customer support issues and solutions in knowledge database;
- Interpret and understand organization's client’s requirements for new and existing functionalities and provide solution according to the organization’s procedures;
- Write, perform, and document test scenarios;
- Participate/lead new organization's network implementation and configuration;
- Coach junior members on Orbit;
- Perform trainings of the organization's staffs on new technologies or existing solutions.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Information Technology/Management Information Systems;
- Minimum 5 years of working experience of core banking systems;
- Proven experience on Orbit software implementation, configuration, and support;
- Proven experience in a technical support environment (software);
- Knowledge of SQL programming and databases (Sybase, MySQL, MS SQL);
- Fluency in English;
- Working proficiency in French an asset.
