Coventry University is entering the next stage in our ambitious plans to secure future growth and success. In readiness for further expansion, for September 2015 we are reshaping the institution into four new faculties, embracing 13 newly-established Schools. Empowered and strengthened, these new Schools will drive forward our competitive UK and global academic agenda.

Supporting the Executive Dean and Deputy Dean, you will lead the review and development of the Faculty's commercial strategies. Driving major new partnerships with both the private and public sectors, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver the University's strategic ambitions through the Faculty, further raising our national and international profile.
We will be looking for you to:
- Identify and exploit all enterprise and commercial opportunities, working closely with academic colleagues throughout the University, Faculty and Schools to secure income generation targets;
- Build relationships with relevant regional, national and international bodies, including the British Council and UK Departments of Trade and Industry and Business, Innovation and Skills to secure funding and international development opportunities;
- Work closely with the University's Commercial Subsidiaries to ensure that the Faculty optimises opportunities to extend its knowledge transfer, consultancy, CPD, IP exploitation and spin-out activity, adding value to new and existing industrial partners;
- Introduce key account management to relationships with partners and major corporate clients, ensuring efficient project management processes are in place.
Your significant experience in a similar role will demonstrate your ability to secure substantial contracts and develop relationships in key target sectors. Your vision and leadership skills will inspire colleagues engaging in commercial activity, helping the Faculty to make a vital contribution to the University's overall objectives. You will have a postgraduate degree and significant experience of working in a client-focused culture.
