Finance Officer - Budget/Reporting

This position will work under the supervision of the Finance Manager- Budget/Reporting. S/he will be responsible for the review of programme activity budget with user departments.
Additional responsibilities include;
  • To prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement for Global Fund (GF) and its counterpart funding bank accounts;
  • Provide support in the review of Sub-Recipients (SR) cash forecast and its disbursement against the approved budget and work-plan;
  • Interface with Sub- Recipients for submission of financials and Programme report to ensure continuous flow of funds for implementation of grant activities;
Qualifications: Interested persons must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related disciplines. S/he must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and within an accounting firm. Additional requirements include; knowledge of grant management as well as grant and project financial reporting preferably within the health or finance sector. The ideal candidate must possess ACA, ACCA or a related professional certification with a good working knowledge of MS Office packages and SAGE accounting package.
