The core mission of the OECD work on Trade and Agriculture and its Directorate, comprising approx. 125 staff members, is to provide relevant and timely information, analysis and advice to support governments in improving the performance of their trade, food, agricultural and fisheries policies, thus contributing to economic growth and sustainable development. It provides member and partner countries with policy guidance across a broad range of issues.
We are looking for a highly experienced executive with extensive public policy experience and strong economic skills, to support the Secretary-General and the Director in providing intellectual leadership and strategic direction to leverage the Directorate’s comparative advantages within the OECD and globally. S/he will work closely with the Director and other members of the TAD management team, promoting the strategic orientations of the Secretary-General and supporting the work of the four policy communities it serves. S/he will also be expected to contribute to corporate initiatives and foster effective horizontal and joint activities across the OECD and with other relevant International Organisations. S/he will ensure the Organisation plays a relevant role in the international global architecture.
The successful candidate will thrive in a multidisciplinary work environment, demonstrate innovative strategic thinking and have proven analytical skills together with a track record of managing international teams. S/he will possess and maintain a wide professional network, representing the OECD in international meetings and media events.
This position requires fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and a knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
