GENDER PROJECT MANAGER (Part-time - fixed term upto 18 months)

About the Job: As manager of the project “Institutionalizing gender in emergencies: bridging policy and practice in the humanitarian system” in four countries: Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Pakistan and South Sudan; the Project Manager will have overall management responsibility for this project working in conjunction with the Global Gender Adviser, the project steering committee and the gender leads in each country who are responsible for implementing the project. The post holder will be responsible for the successful management, coordination and delivery of the overall lead agency responsibility and for the coordination of activities led by Oxfam.
The project aims to catalyze change on gender in humanitarian sector to raise response capacity:a) gender analyses demonstrating different impacts of crises on women & men and root causes; b) institutionalising gender standards in humanitarian action by analysing sector performance on gender; c) targeted action, advocacy & capacity development; d) establish & strengthen humanitarian response gender leadership groups in-country; e) collaborative development & implementation of accountability framework for cluster reporting on gender standards.
About You:
We are looking for people with experience in complex project management with field experience of gender equality programming in humanitarian and long-term development work.
With good understanding of financial management, strong report writing and demonstrable experience of high level influencing skills. Have experience in people management that motivates others. Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders is must of this role to succeed. You will also need facilitating and training experience, project planning, and influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external audiences in complex and stressful circumstances. You must have excellent written and spoken English and Spanish language is highly desirable.
