Assistant Professor in Health Economics and Policy
Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide and not less than £51,908 per annum inclusive.
You will join the Department of Social Policy, which has an international reputation for research excellence, and is the top ranking Department of all UK institutions in its discipline.
Applications will be considered from outstanding candidates working in health economics. All areas of health economics will be considered, although the Department has particular needs in the area of economics of health policy and health system development, particularly in low- and middle-income settings.
You will teach, publish research, and supervise students and act as academic advisor to students at all levels.
You will have a PhD (or will be close to obtaining a PhD by the post start date) in a PhD in Health Economics or a relevant discipline by the post start date, as well as a proven record of research published in top international journals; or evidence that such a record is being developed. You will also demonstrate the ability to teach on a range of courses currently on offer within the MSc Global Health and to contribute to areas not currently covered.
